PBT Covid - 19 Update - 8th September (vs2)

The NZ Government  announced  that from 8th September, Auckland will remain in Level 4 restrictions and the rest of New Zealand to Level 2 restrictions.

The safety and wellbeing of our customers, suppliers and staff is our top priority. We would take this opportunity to advise our customers of the processes and procedures we have implemented to give you confidence that we are operating and utilising a best practice safety approach to protect our customers and our staff in this environment.

Detailed below are the measures we have put in place during the current restriction levels. Please note these measures apply throughout New Zealand.

Delivery of Signature required freight:

PBT drivers will remain two metres away from other people at all times. We will not take signatures; if you are there, we will ask you for your full name as received and proof of delivery. If not there at the time, we will leave you a card left, and return your freight to our depot.

Delivery of Non-Signature required freight:

PBT drivers will remain two metres away from other people at all times. We will not take signatures; if you are there, we will ask you for your full name as received and proof of delivery. If not there at the time, we will leave your freight in a safe place for when you return.

PBT Counter activity at Depot level:

Auckland Branches/ Depots: We will not be able to accommodate depot collections or drop offs at our Auckland branches during the Level 4 restrictions.

Rest of New Zealand: Depot collections and drop offs can continue however we will be adopting the MOH recommended two metre separation guidelines while engaging with customers. Any documents to be signed will be left in a suitable position to be completed. EFTPOS machines will be regularly sanitised.

Delivery of Freight within Auckland:

PBT will work hard to minimise disruptions to the movement of our customers’ freight through the current Level 4 restrictions in Auckland.

To assist us, it is important that customers sending freight into or within Auckland check to ensure that the receiver of your freight is open and able to accept deliveries.

PBT has limited storage capacity at our Auckland depot and would appreciate your help with this as we work through the next few days.

Potential Freight Delays:

Delays at the entry and exit points of the Auckland border have in the past caused disruption to the efficient flow of freight into and out of Auckland. We will advise as soon as possible if this becomes an issue during the current restriction levels.

We will provide further updates as and when CV19 Alert Levels change.

Please contact PBT Customer Services, your local Branch or your Account Manager for further information.
